Aloha From Maui
Print Art Exhibition April/May 2024.
Art Maui and Western Oregon University (WOU) will present an art "print" exhibition featuring Maui artists. Aloha from Maui will show in the Cannon Gallery of Art, WOU's largest exhibition space.
Aloha From Maui is a celebration of the artists of Maui, Hawaii. In August of 2023 devastation hit the island of Maui from wildfires that would take lives, destroy homes, businesses and buildings. In all this artists have persevered and continue to create and share.
Juried by and a brainchild of Paula Booth, WOU's Gallery Director and Assistant Professor of Art. Paula has been teaching at Art Education at Western Oregon University for 17 years.
Paula has strong ties to Maui and has contributed generously to Maui and is continuing to give back to the artists and the community of Maui, because of the belief that "art has the power to heal".

Western Oregon University is generously picking up the costs of prints for the show. And will create an online gallery for viewing and purchase of the prints, with most of the proceeds going to the artists. Submission is now closed.
